January 17 - Today we have added February 15, 16, 19 & 20, 2022 to the Testing Calendar

January 14, 2022-OFAI is pleased to announce Welland Fire and Emergency Services as the newest partner of the OFAI program.

January 14, 2022-We have added a new Swim Test to our testing calendar. Please click here for more information.

January 14, 2022-Starting March 21, 2022, OFAI will require all CTS candidates testing on-site at the Fire and Emergency Services Training Institute (FESTI) to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.We will no longer accept a negative COVID-19 molecular test (PCR, RT-PCR, NAAT, LAMP) result in place of full vaccination. Please DO NOT book your re-tests early - wait for the appropriate date to appear on the calendar!

Note: We will be adding the February schedule in small imcreements in the next few weeks.  We hope that this will mitigate any booking issues and provide a wider opportunity for candidates to book.

September 20, 2021- As of September 22, 2021, proof of vaccination status is required to gain admission to the Swim Test. Please click here for more information. 


Please do not book the Treadmill and Stage Three on the same day.  Additionally, if you have one of these tests booked already, please do not double book  - orders will be cancelled and charged a $25 fee. 

Currently, there is NO re-scheduling - please make sure you have chosen the correct date.

Due to some increases in our testing capacity, we are no longer keeping a cancellation list for OFAI asesessments. Please visit our testing calendar for available dates. 

Starting April 21, 2021, OFAI introduced an enhanced check-in system at our test facility, Fire and Emergency Services Training Institute (FESTI), located at 2025 Courtneypark East in Mississauga. Read MORE
