Please read carefully!

This test is for the following Candidates:

NEW Candidates – you must also select the Hearing Assessment (NEW) from the Testing calendar on the same date as your FACT Test.  If you are unable to select them both on the same date from the testing calendar- you must choose another date

Renewals – due to an expired/expiring certificate.
Retesting – if you were not previously successful (please keep in mind the re-test policy wait times). If you have not completed your Hearing, you must book it on the same date as your re-test.

 You will not find out your results on the day of your assessment. If you are successful on your Firefighter Aptitude and Character Test™, your certificate will be uploaded to your OFAI account within three business days. DO NOT BOOK THE ENCAPSULATED TREADMILL or any other test other than the Hearing ON THE SAME DAY!! Test times may overlap.

After completion of successful registration, you will be sent 2 emails.  

1. Your paid receipt/confirmation is automatically generated through this website and will be emailed to you for your records. It will include the date and your testing time. An email  with a TEST CODE from: onlinetesting@invitations.testgenius.com will be sent to you.  You will need to bring with you on the date of your test.

• Stage One is scheduled at 9:00 AM (those Candidates that are taking the Hearing on the same day, will proceed to the Hearing upon completion of your Stage One Test).
• Incorrect bookings will result in an automatic refund, less a $ 50 plus HST administration fee.
• There is currently NO re-scheduling. Please do not book your appointment until you are sure of your personal and professional schedules.

All candidates are responsible for downloading and reading the Pre-Assessment Guides as part of their assessment. 

Cancellation Policy: There will be no refunds if your assessment is cancelled within five  business days of your assessment date/time.  Any cancellation made prior to the five business day deadline will be refunded, less a $50.00 plus HST. If you wish to cancel your assessment and it is five-business days or greater from your assessment date/time, you must request a cancellation through your online account at www.ofai.ca  by selecting the “Cancel” button next to the order/assessment you are cancelling. You will be refunded, less a $50.00 plus HST administration fee.
If you must cancel your assessment within five business days of your assessment date/time, you will not be refunded.  Please advise the administration office you will not be attending your assessment at  info@ofai.ca. It is the  candidate's responsibility to abide by the cancellation policy of each assessment.

Re-Test Policy: All OFAI failed assessments are subject to our re-test policy.  The re-test policy identifies the wait times candidates must follow before coming back to re-test.  The wait times are put in place to allow each candidate sufficient time to prepare (and in some cases, train) in order to be successful in their assessments.

The following identifies the OFAI re-test policy wait times:
1st Failure – 15 Days
2nd Failure – 30 Days
Any subsequent failure will be subject to a 30-day re-test policy

Arrival times:
Stage One:  15 minutes prior to scheduled time
Stage Two Hearing: 15 minutes prior to scheduled time
Stage Two Encapsulated Treadmill:  30 minutes prior to scheduled time
Stage Three & FPAT:  30 minutes prior to scheduled time

If you are late for your appointment, you will be required to wait.  If the evaluation staff are unable to accommodate you in the schedule, then you will be required to rebook at your own expense.
